First iPhone in Mumbai India

Today, the 22nd of August, 2008 is the launch of the iPhone in India. Little did I realize when I went to book it in advance a couple of days back, that Neehar would be the first customer to receive the iPhone at 12 midnight in our local Vodafone store today. So he becomes one of the first Indians (alongwith all the others at other stores across India during midnight) to get hold of an iPhone, he really wanted it anyways! I had read at Mat Cutts blog about the frenzy of the US people lining up outside stores throughout the night to get the iPhone, not like that in India probably, but there was the next customer exactly at 12:15 awaiting his iPhone after Neehar.

They celebrated it with snacks, balloons, hearty congratulations & the photo below :)

I personally think its a beautiful phone, the white one, didnt look that good in pictures.

As I walk upon high.....

My apartment overlooks a road upon which two toddlers go to school every morning…. Very small yet helping each other to hold bags, water bottles or the occasional toy so that the other ties his shoe lace or stop to pick up that ‘thing’ they find interesting from the road. Blissfully ignorant about what the rest of the world would be doing they trudge along, often animatedly speaking to each other and reminding me of my days in school.. though I never got to walk much this way, it was always in the shelter of a car, the only time I got to ride on a bike was during the first couple of years after I was wedded. Anyways.. back to where I was, the two toddlers.. trudging along.. to learn something they’ll forget later on in school.. the image is so beautiful J I stop work on the laptop and look out till they go out of site, the sun shining down on them and the lazy gait of both the boys adds to the beauty of that lonely tarred road, less trudged upon by people and even cars.

I cant give words to my thought, too much going on, too much professional work, interrupted in between by matters which demand my attention no matter what.. when do I have time to go home? To my misty mountains…. J
